We have some great new content on the site

The 910XT gets an update
As with most first releases of a product, there were a few bugs in the software, mainly with the instantaneous pace display, it was jumping around a lot at lower speeds (around 9 minute a mile) so that has been fixed. A few multisport workout bugs have been fixed also. Download it now to enjoy the most up to date firmware around.
----------
This week on the running supplement
•taking pics for our 910XT review, should be online soon
•some wicked new products to review, including; adidas SpeedCell and CardioSport BIOVEST

What could have been….

First things first, Motorolla have just announced a new software update for the MOTOACTV -- http://www.motorola.com/blog/2012/02/07/motoactv-update-we-never-rest/ -- release date as of the moment is around March 7th -- put it in the diary, this new update looks fantasti; over 40 workouts to choose from. Will the watch ever stop giving. Check out our review to see more.
The title of this post is what could have been, because I wish to share with you two "banners" (a generous terms for them) that were created for the site when I asked my former good friend Dominic to design a homage banner. As you can see, he didn't really take the task that seriously…..

effort one
effort two
Personally I think both are vulgar and disgust me no end. However, I feel that the artwork is wasted siting in my inbox/trash can so here they are for all to see.
Enjoy and let us know if you think we should use either of them
Hopefully lots of content to come in the coming week, just putting the finishing touches to a 910XT review and Garmin Connect walkthrough, plus a new article or two in the pipeline. Stay tuned

Valentines Day

Valentines Day
The day is almost over as I sit down to write this article, I couldn't really work out what I wanted it to be. A bitter young man slamming Valentines day because the only chocolate I have got is half an Areo one of my flatmates left behind (who eats half an Aero?) but no, I am better than that. This is the runners guide to Valentines day.
I will start at the beginning (shock) and the opening gambit, more crudely referred to as the pick up line.
I will just share a few of my favourites (these are not my lines, I have heard or read them online)
So......your pace or mine
Do you run here often?
Do you like speed work? I am always down for a quickie!
Why don't we do it on the road?
I have been reliable informed that the success rate of the lines depends on "delivery, timing and it will help if you have a winning smile?" Even then I am not quite sure how effective this lot are going to be. So along with all your training apparently women require timing and delivery. For examples of a winning smile, please see any Colgate advert.
So you have your cheesy opening, time to back it up with some substance:
A delightful little quote should be the sprinkling of love dust you need to woo your target:
"Love, like running is all about passion, determination, and stamina. Both require a lot of heart"
If that doesn't get those running tights flying off and you into a bedroom then frankly I am at a loss as to what will.
Valentines day is all about heart, and it would be amiss if I didn't call out the British Heart Foundation, one of the charities Full Potential work very closely with. Heart failure affects over 750,000 people in the UK, and Cardiovascular disease is the main cause of death in the UK. So look after your heart, and that of loved ones. Not just on February 14th with flowers and romance, but on every day of the year by eating well and exercising.
14th February Treat -- more lines
Are your legs sore? Because they have been running through my mind all night?
There are two ways to reach your max heart rate, you can run, or I can take my top off
Are those tights reflective, because I can see myself in your pants?
See that spike in my Heart Rate, that was when I saw you.
Is that a waterbottle in your pants, or are you just happy to see me.
Let's try and increase your V02 Max!
